There are a lot of information about the bad effects of addicted to drug. You can find them everywhere. Government and non government organization have campaigned about this problem so long, but it seems the number of the drug users is getting higher significantly. In this case, the information should be balanced with what happen if the drug abuse people do not go to rehabilitation center. Then, people should know what happen during the rehabilitation and how hard someone has to struggle to quit from his addiction. This is the part that not all people know.

Rehabilitation centers apply certain methods for detoxing the patients’ body. It is done to remove and flush the toxins which have accumulated on the body. Abrupt cessation of taking drug may give some negative symptoms like vomiting and/or nausea, shakiness, anxiety and profuse sweating. Knowing these facts, some patients cannot stand and want to go home. Of course, they are not allowed and have to follow the directions. Medicines are often prescribed to as the drug substitutes to help quell the onset of withdrawal symptoms. At the same time, family and friends of the patients should support the rehabilitation process. They need to visit then regularly to show their love. However, all of them will be useless if the patients do not have strong wiliness to get recovered. It becomes the duty of the family members and friends to show the positive things they can do together after the rehabilitation. One until three months will be the most difficult and crucial steps that an addict has to follow. Although  it is hard, there must be no option to stop the rehabilitation process.


Religious Based Rehab Center

Besides taking medicines and eating healthy diet, religion and faith are two things that should be built in the addicted persons. During their stay in drug rehabilitation center, they are supposed to increase follow certain procedures to heal the addiction. In the rehab center which focus on treating based on religion, there will be methods applied to increase their spirituality and renew their faith in God. They have to believe that God is here to bring the addicted people back from the bottom of their addiction. The must realize that it is only God who can bring them to a better place and start the new life again.
This type of rehab center will be designed and decorated with religious items. So, whenever and wherever the patients are, they will always remember God as the only one who can take them to better life. The counselors will remind the patients that it is only God’s assistance which can overcome their addiction and create peace feeling without drug. The facts also show that faith and religion treatment result significant changes in the addicted people habit and the way they view life. Commonly, people who have been rehabilitated in religious rehab center will look like people. Of course, this is not about the performance and appearance. But they show differences on their attitude. For example, they can be wiser and calmer. Everything they do reflect the success of the rehabilitation.

Getting arrested, a way to pursue better future

It seems there are many people who know that their friends or family members are addicted to drug. However they can do nothing to make their addicted friends change the bad lifestyle. If you are in the same situation, you will feel so sorry since you cannot communicate well to your friend. When you are trying to tell him about his bad habit and his willingness to leave the drug consumption, mostly he will get angry and persuade you that his condition is better due to drug. Of course, the reality is not like that. In this case, you may talk to his family and say about the idea of arresting him like a criminal. Well, it sounds a bit cruel since your friend is not a criminal. Actually he is a nice person but become not nice because of the drug.
His family can be surprised when you tell them about this idea and maybe the reject and get angry to you. But, this can be better solution since asking the police officers to arrest him is the way to take him to the rehabilitation center. Your friend has to be forced before the condition is getting worse and worse. Leaving your friend in this current situation without do anything means you and his family do not care about him. Get the police officer to arrest him can be considered as wiser decision. Never think that this is a shameful action. Your addicted friend will be taken to the better place and environment, so the rehabilitation can be started. Indeed, you will not have a big heart to see your friend taken to the police station. But, this can surely be the better option than letting him in this current option. At least, your friend still has a chance to pursue better future.
