Getting arrested, a way to pursue better future

It seems there are many people who know that their friends or family members are addicted to drug. However they can do nothing to make their addicted friends change the bad lifestyle. If you are in the same situation, you will feel so sorry since you cannot communicate well to your friend. When you are trying to tell him about his bad habit and his willingness to leave the drug consumption, mostly he will get angry and persuade you that his condition is better due to drug. Of course, the reality is not like that. In this case, you may talk to his family and say about the idea of arresting him like a criminal. Well, it sounds a bit cruel since your friend is not a criminal. Actually he is a nice person but become not nice because of the drug.
His family can be surprised when you tell them about this idea and maybe the reject and get angry to you. But, this can be better solution since asking the police officers to arrest him is the way to take him to the rehabilitation center. Your friend has to be forced before the condition is getting worse and worse. Leaving your friend in this current situation without do anything means you and his family do not care about him. Get the police officer to arrest him can be considered as wiser decision. Never think that this is a shameful action. Your addicted friend will be taken to the better place and environment, so the rehabilitation can be started. Indeed, you will not have a big heart to see your friend taken to the police station. But, this can surely be the better option than letting him in this current option. At least, your friend still has a chance to pursue better future.

Before taking your family to the drug rehabilitation center, you need to make strong commitment between you and your family member. She must have strong willingness to be rehabilitated. Without it, she will easily give up from the treatment and back to consume drug. Of course, this has to be avoided. Choosing the right rehabilitation center and methods will be your next task. In the rehab center, your family member will be evaluated completely to determine the treatment suitable for her. Usually, more than one treatment is offered to complete each other. Both psychotherapeutic and medical treatments may be offered by a reputed drug rehab center. After doing series of test, the counselors and specialists will make conclusion about sources or addiction, severity level, and suitable treatment.
The rehabilitation center will also concentrate to detox the patient body as the part of patient recovery. This process often makes unpleasant feeling for the patient. So, some patients want to give up and think that rehabilitation is something painful. Good communication with patients needs building to make them keep their willingness. In addition, rehabilitation center plans to support the patients’ nutrition. This is due to the facts that addicted people do not care about their daily diet and exercise. There, patients have no choice expect following the schedule and methods which have been chosen. Nutrition deficiency has to be solved before going to the next step. Again, you have to be patient since your family member recovery may need longer time.
